Lista de Casamento

For the English Speakers - all about our wedding... explained!

So, if you're not a Portuguese speaker but are still coming to our wedding you must be thinking... what the hell is this? I can't understand anything in this website! LOL :-)
So, it was time we explained a little bit about our wedding in a language other than Portuguese for all our dear friends coming from other countries. Here we go:
  •  WEDDING VENUE - the wedding will take place on Saturday June 26th at 4pm in Mosteiro de Santa Maria do Bouro, in Amares (a small town in the North of Portugal, near Braga). It is a very beautiful old monastery that has been recently transformed in a design hotel by famous Portuguese Architect Souto Moura. The venue will be reserved for our guests only on Saturday and Sunday morning, for those who are staying over. There is a beautiful swimming pool that you will probably be able to use as the weather is likely to be sunny, so don't forget the sunscreen and bathing suit;
  • DRESS CODE - dress code is formal, but no need for tux if you don't have one. A dark suit with a tie is perfectly alright and for ladies either long evening dresses or cocktail dresses will do. Please be aware that the religious ceremony will take place in the Catholic Church of the monastery, so ladies should cover their shoulders and decolette with a nice echarpe/scarf.
  • CHECKING IN @ THE HOTEL - check in will be open officially as of 2pm on Saturday afternoon, so you can check in even before the start of the wedding at 4pm if you wish to do so;
  • WEDDING PRESENT LIST - as many of you have asked us for the details on wedding presents, here's how to proceed in case you would like to give us a gift:
      • choose one or more items from the list called Wedding gifts ('Lista de Casamento' in Portuguese) - all of the items are experiences that we would like to live during our honeymoon... for example, a romantic dinner at a sky-high restaurant in Kuala Lumpur, a massage for 2 by the beach in Bali, an excursion to a Balinese village, a traditional balinese dances show, ...; all gifts have a reference, example, 4AE or 8E, etc;
      • send an email to dacosta.braga2010@gmail.com mentioning the reference of the gift you would like to give us and make a transfer for the corresponding value of the gift to our joint bank account in Portugal. For those transferring from abroad, we have made our IBAN and SWIFT codes available below
Beneficiary: Elisa da Costa
IBAN: PT50 0007 0000 0083 8372 0682 3
SWIFT: BESCPTPL
Once the transfer arrives in the bank account, we will confirm back to you that it was well received so you can be 100% sure that your present has been delivered :-)

And voila! Hope this helps you find your way through our (very...) Portuguese website and through the wedding details.
Above all, we just want you to know that we are SO HAPPY that you will be joining us (from far away...)for this big spoecial day and hope we will all have a wonderful time celebrating together!
See you in Portugal :-)
